Technical terms for wire rope slings

1. Total ultimate elongation: the ratio of the total elongation of the chain and end fittings to the original length when broken.
2. The nominal length of the sling of the wire rope sling: the distance between the upper and lower bearing points of the unused sling in the unloaded state.
3. C-shaped hook: The end is made into a C-shaped hook, with a hook with a balance weight.
4. Clamping sling: a device that extracts objects through mechanism closure or friction between the mechanism and the article.
5. End fittings: a collective term for the sling main ring, intermediate main ring, connecting ring, intermediate ring and lower end accessories.
6. Main ring: the end fitting directly connected to the crane hook.
7. Intermediate main ring: a chain link used to connect two or more slings to the main ring.
8. Connecting ring: a chain ring installed at the end of the chain, which connects the chain to the end fittings directly or through an intermediate ring.
9. Intermediate ring: used as a link between the end fittings and the connecting ring installed on the chain.
10. Lower end: the chain link, eye hook or other device attached to the extremity of the sling (this extremity is away from the main ring or the upper end).
