Two methods of galvanized steel wire rope

Release time:2021-08-11 14:07:40
There are two methods for galvanized steel wire rope. First, the first is multi-wire continuous hot-dip plating, and the other is electroplating.
The electro-galvanization of the galvanized steel wire rope (see steel wire electro-galvanization) is to obtain the coating by electrodeposition through the external power supply, and the obtained coating is composed of fine pure zinc crystal grains. Hot-dip galvanizing of galvanized steel wire rope (see hot-dip galvanizing of steel wire) is to form the coating by physical thermal diffusion. First, iron-zinc compound is formed, and then a pure zinc layer is formed on the surface of iron-zinc compound. Theoretically speaking, zinc electroplating can obtain a zinc layer of any thickness. At present, the amount of zinc on the practical electro-galvanizing can reach 1200g/m2. Usually the amount of zinc on the electro-galvanized layer can reach 750g/m2. However, the highest amount of zinc on hot-dip galvanizing is only 593g/m2. Hot-dip galvanizing will reduce the mechanical properties of the steel wire. Galvanized steel wire ropes with high strength and high corrosion resistance are required to be twisted by electro-galvanized steel wires.
